Why chat and work belong in the same place
The hidden cost of switching between a chat app and a project tool — and what changes when they're one.
Think about the last decision your team made. Where did it happen? Probably in a chat thread. Where is the work that followed? Probably somewhere else — and the link between the two lives in someone's memory.
The copy-paste tax
When conversation and work live in different tools, someone has to translate between them: summarize the thread, create the ticket, paste the link, then report back in chat when it's done. It's small each time and enormous in total.
What changes when they're together
- Tasks remember where they came from. Create a task from a message and anyone can open the original discussion.
- Updates show up where people are. Progress on the Workboard is visible from the channel, so fewer people need to ask.
- Planning uses real context. Basik AI can summarize the conversation and propose tasks, which you review before anything is created.
