Connecting Basik AI
Add your company's OpenAI key and choose who manages AI.
Basik AI runs on your company's own OpenAI API key. Until a key is connected, AI features are off and nothing is sent to an AI provider.
Before you start
You'll need an OpenAI API key from your organization's OpenAI account, with billing set up there. OpenAI bills you directly for usage.
Connect the key
- Open Settings → AI (owners, admins and AI admins).
- Choose the provider and model, and paste your API key.
- Review and accept the provider data terms.
- Save. The key is encrypted and can't be viewed again — only replaced or removed.
What your team can do
- Summarize channels, threads and initiatives
- Ask questions about conversations and work
- Get proposed tasks to review and confirm
- Get call notes and action points after calls
- Proofread messages in the composer
Turning it off
Remove the key in Settings → AI to switch AI features off immediately.
