Workboard basics

Turn on the Workboard

An owner or admin turns on the Workboard module in Settings → Modules. Channel admins can then turn on a Workboard for a channel.

How work is organized

• Spaces hold a team's work, with their own columns, labels and policies.
• Initiatives are big goals. They have an overview, progress and published updates.
• Features group related tasks within an initiative.
• Tasks are the actual work: owner, due date, labels, comments and history.

Tasks from chat

Hover a message and choose Create task. The task links back to the message, so anyone can see where it came from.

Boards, lists and My Tasks

Drag tasks across the board's columns or switch to a list. My Tasks shows everything assigned to you across spaces.

Cycles

Create a cycle for the next week or two, pull tasks into it and watch progress. When a cycle ends, roll unfinished tasks into the next one.

Customize columns

In the space's settings, add, rename, reorder or archive columns to match how your team works.
